Dr Hayes is a cardiologist specialising in electrophysiology and complex device implantation. He completed specialist training in cardiology and electrophysiology in Oxford followed by a fellowship in Bournemouth. He also spent some time training at the renowned St Vincent’s University Hospital in Dublin.

He is skilled in all aspects of arrhythmia management including the diagnosis and treatment of palpitations and dysrhythmias. He has a particular interest in pacing and in complex pacing for heart failure.

He is also trained in echocardiography including transoesophageal echocardiography and diagnostic angiography.

Dr Hayes is based at York Hospital NHS Trust and is also an Honorary Consultant Electrophysiologist at Castle Hill Hospital, Hull. He has a private practice at York Nuffield and Harrogate BMI hospital. Dr Hayes has completed medicolegal training.
